Social Association "Femme Active" of the Tizi Ouzou Wilaya
A bilingual site for an association that has listened to and supported families since 2011, with auto-translated news
This website was built through the Mustashar Nonprofit Initiative.

The website of the Social Association "Femme Active" of the Tizi Ouzou wilaya, built within Mustashar's non-profit initiative. Mirrored Arabic and French editions present the association's fields of action, its listening and guidance cell, the parents' guide and fifteen years of commitment, with an admin space that publishes news and translates it automatically between the two languages.
The need
Registered in 2011, the association works across the Tizi Ouzou wilaya against social ills and for the empowerment of women and families, and has run a listening and guidance cell since 2014. Its field work, caravans and school campaigns were scattered across Facebook accounts, with no website gathering this journey for readers of both Arabic and French, and no tool letting its members publish in two languages without the burden of translation.
What we built
We built an identity from the logo's green, its white dove and laurel wreath, with a blue drawn from the page cover and a zigzag ribbon inspired by the borders of the Kabyle dress, signing the header, footer and timeline. Mirrored Arabic and French editions present the three fields of action, the listening cell in four steps, a six-topic parents' guide, the association's journey from 2011 to 2026 with press quotes, and a map of the wilaya drawn from its administrative boundaries. An admin space publishes the news: a member writes in one language, the text is translated automatically into the other, and manual corrections are always preserved.
What sets this website apart?
Two mirrored editions
Arabic at the root and French in its own directory, same pages and same structure, with a language switch on every page and hreflang tags for search engines.
Auto-translated news
24 documented news items since 2019, each with one photo and a page in both languages; whatever is published in Arabic appears in French and vice versa, with no paid subscription.
Listening and guidance cell
A page explaining the welcome process in four steps and the people the cell has received since 2014, with one clear message: no concern is too small.
Parents' guide
Six topics that worry families — drugs, bullying, screens, school dropout, smoking, domestic violence — with an "In danger, don't wait" block and emergency numbers.
A fifteen-year journey
A timeline from the 2011 founding to 2026 along a zigzag spine, punctuated by national press quotes about the association's caravans and school campaigns.
Wilaya map
A vector map of Tizi Ouzou drawn from its administrative boundaries, from the coast to the villages of the Djurdjura, framing the About page.
